NFCC On-Call Conference 2018

We are pleased to announce that the NFCC will be hosting an On-Call Conference on 20-21 March at the Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicestershire.

Our on-call firefighters are a vital and significant part of our service and our conference programme will cover the key issues facing the sector in this crucial area including:

- The National Recruitment Campaign – developed following the Home Office research study

- The HMICFRS focus on on-call – what does excellent look like from an inspection point of view

- Employer Engagement Case Studies

- LGA Peer review support for those seeking to improve on-call

- RFU Survey – the outcomes of the survey followed by a workshop to develop an action plan going forward addressing the issues.

 

To move this forward it is important to have the buy in from both senior managers and those responsible for on-call.   Therefore we would strongly encourage representation of both strategic managers and practitioners to really drive forward improvement and engagement in this area.

The conference will begin with lunch on 20th, include a networking dinner that evening and conclude with lunch on 21st
