NFCC Autumn Conference 2018

Venue: The St David’s Hotel, Cardiff
Time: 27th - 28th September 2018

*This event is open to CFOA members only*

We are delighted to announce our annual Autumn Conference will take place on 27th - 28th September 2018 at St David’s Hotel in Cardiff.

The programme for the event is currently being finalised and will begin at 10am on the morning of 27th with the morning session focussing on the future of the fire and rescue service and the key issues facing the sector, including discussions around governance, reform and workforce.  We have invited Ministers responsible for Fire from each of the nations to take part in this session. We will then have a full afternoon on the Grenfell Inquiry and the morning of 28th will have an operational focus with sessions on the Kerslake review and counter-terrorism. The conference will conclude with lunch on 28th September.

For those arriving the night prior on 26th September there will be an informal networking evening starting at 7pm. On the evening of 27th September attendees are invited to attend the opening ceremony for the UKRO Challenges 2018 followed by a dinner back at the hotel at 8pm.   There are a variety of packages available to book on the booking tab to suit your preferred attendance option.

This is a key event in the NFCC calendar so you are advised to book early for what will be a sell-out event.

N.B United Kingdom Rescue Organisation Challenges

Our autumn conference this year is co-located in the same area as the UKRO National Challenges, Cardiff Bay. The UKRO event is a chance for emergency services personnel to share techniques across all rescue disciplines:

• Vehicle extrication

• Trauma care

• Rope rescue

• Water rescue

The challenges begin on Friday 28th September so you may want to use the opportunity to stay on after the conference when it concludes at lunchtime and support your service.  To find out more about the UKRO Challenges please visit:
