CSL/NFCC Events Update – Covid-19

Given both the government advice, peoples limited ability/desire to travel to events over the next few weeks and our commitment to help limit the spread of Covid- 19, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming March events. We are committed to providing the best events possible for all attendees and stakeholders so we feel that this is the correct thing to do.  The safety of our staff is also paramount.

The Future of Fire in Housing, Sector Improvement and National Operational learning events and the Role of a Director training course will take now place in the first two weeks of July.  We will confirm the specific date within the next few days.

For all bookings, your booking will remain valid for the re-arranged date. Alternatively if you would like to cancel and receive a full refund please email hollie.tell@nationalfirechiefs.org.uk quoting the event you wish to cancel and the name of your delegate.

Please note we will keep the website updated with any changes to other future events and we will circulate a new schedule of 2020-21 events within the next week.

Following the first round of Inspections of Fire and Rescue Services in England and The State of Fire report we will be holding a seminar to look at the impacts on services and how as a sector we take recommendations forward.

The day will be hosted by the NFCC Sector Improvement and Resources Chair, CFO Chris Strickland. The conference will begin with two keynote addresses, one from Sir Thomas Winsor giving an overview of the State of Fire findings and then a response to this from our Chair Roy Wilsher. We will also update attendees on any information that comes out of HMICFRS in the lead up to Tranche 1 inspections for 20-21. We will then move on to a comprehensive and interactive session around the NFCC Strategic Improvement Model (SIM) and the NFCC National Improvement Programmes and what they aim to achieve for you back in service.
